Wonderfully quiet and exact language -- a gem of a book.
Overall, I enjoyed this though it took me a minute. It opens on a section called 12 sentences where she both outlines a theme of over-analyzation while at the same time contrasting it with an underlining sense of meaningless. That sounds neat but I honestly found the opening section a little impossible to penetrate. It was too dense and talked in too many circles for me to fully understand (in large part, I still don't) but thankfully once you get into the more traditional poetry, it becomes what you'd expect. The poems are neat and have a very deliberate and personal feel to them (coming back to that over self-analysis theme) and Case plays with some interesting formats. My personal favorite is probably Haecceity. Another plus, if you like looking up weird words, you'll do a lot of that here.
